werkhof3000 (2018) has been an artistic and curatorial intervention by Hannes Zulauf and Livio Casanova which took place in a café called werkhof102 in Bern. Twelve table tops were transformed into “post-apocalyptic-scale-modelling-swamplands” for the period of one month and thus, became part of the café’s daily routine.
The intervention went along with a soundperformance by Fiasko (Jonas Weber), an artist talk moderated by the curator Geraldine Tedder, one lecture by Marc Atallah (director Maison d’Ailleurs, Yverdon) titled On World-Building: Pragmatics of Science Fiction and one lecture by art historian Toni Hildebrandt titled A World And Not The World, followed by a screening of Ben River’s essay film Slow Action (2010).
werkhof3000 has been supported by Kultur Stadt Bern, Swisslos Kultur Kanton Bern and Burgergemeinde Bern.
